Product Detail

TAF WIZARD is an amazing Supercab IR Library crafted by Andy from TheAmpFactory at his Orangetreestudios HQ. It captures the sound of a Custom 1x12 with Eminence Wizard speakers. Andy says, 'This driver is made for effects/pedalboards and other cool stuff. It has a great sheen in the upper mids and a tight low end, which is super useful for controlling tones. It's very versatile and works with everything - almost like magic!' This library is designed for the TH - U Supercabinet. With it, you can graphically browse IRs, blend multiple IRs to create custom stereo guitar tones, compose new cabinet tones in Multiband mode, and export your crafted IRs in .wav format for use with major hardware modelers and software IR loaders. The speaker is Eminence Wizard from a Custom 1x12. It uses a Neve 1073 VR mic pre, has pre - EQ, and active HPF/LPF. The IRs are captured with 14 microphones. Each microphone is placed in 4 horizontal positions and 2 distances, giving 8 IRs per mic. All IRs in the library are phase - aligned, so you can blend them without phase cancellations.

Using this TAF WIZARD Supercab IR Library is a breeze. First, make sure you have the TH - U Supercabinet software installed. Then, simply load the library into it. You can start graphically browsing the IRs right away. To create your own unique tones, blend multiple IRs. Just play around with different combinations until you get the sound you love. In the Multiband mode, you can compose new cabinet tones - it's like a tone - making playground. When you're happy with your crafted IRs, export them in .wav format to use with other hardware modelers or software IR loaders. As for maintenance, keep your software updated to ensure the best performance. Also, store your exported IR files in a safe place, and don't forget to back them up regularly. One thing to note is that since all the IRs are phase - aligned, you don't have to worry about phase cancellations when blending, but it's still a good idea to listen carefully to your tones to get the best results.
