Product Detail
This is an official Jensen IR library centered around the N12/80 TR Stealth 80 'Tornado Stealth 80' Neodymium speaker. It systematically captures the sound of a Jensen Tornado Stealth 80 Large Cabs speaker from the Jet Series, installed in three distinct enclosures, resulting in a total of 912 IRs. These enclosures include a 2x12' Open Back cabinet, a 2x12' Closed Back cabinet, and a 4x12' Closed Back cabinet. Developed with a Jensen Speakers product specialist, it recreates an authentic playing experience, just like using an original speaker. The Tornado Stealth 80 might be the Neodymium counterpart of the ceramic - powered Electric Lightning. It's highly efficient, with slightly scooped mids, and performs great in both clean and heavy tonal settings. The TR S 80 offers excellent punch and attack, maintaining clarity for palm - muted riffs, power chords, and clean rhythm playing. Captured in modern cabinets by 19 microphones in 16 positions each, it's a top - notch modern - voiced speaker for contemporary use. This library is made for TH - U Supercabinet, enabling you to graphically browse IRs, blend them, create new cabinet tones with the unique Multiband mode, use IRs in the software, and export them in .wav format, compatible with software IR loaders and major hardware modelers. The microphones used during capture are AKG C12, AKG C414, and many others. Each microphone was moved to 4 horizontal positions, with two distances and two angles, resulting in 16 IRs per mic. All measurements were repeated for each cabinet. All IRs are phase - aligned and can be blended without phase cancellations.
Using this Overloud SuperCabinet Library is a breeze. First, make sure your TH - U Supercabinet software is up - to - date. You can easily graphically browse through the IRs in the library to find the tone you like. You can blend different IRs together to create your unique sound, or use the Multiband mode to craft new cabinet tones. When using the IRs in the software, just load them up as you would with any other compatible IR. If you want to use the IRs in other software or hardware, export them in .wav format. As for maintenance, keep your software and hardware updated to ensure compatibility. Since the IRs are digital files, there's no physical maintenance required, but it's a good idea to back them up regularly to avoid data loss. Also, when using different microphones and positions, experiment to find the combination that suits your playing style the best.
