Product Detail

This official Jensen IR library is based on the P15N AlNiCo speaker from the Vintage series. It systematically captures a Jensen Vintage Alnico P15N speaker in a 1x15' Open Back enclosure, with a total of 608 IRs. Developed with a Jensen Speakers product specialist, it recreates an authentic playing experience. The P15N, one of the first speakers in guitar amplifiers, was in early Fender Bassman and Bandmaster amps, setting the standard for classic tones. It delivers a warm, full - bodied sound with deep bass and a nice top end, great for clean and pushed clean tones. Captured using the classic 19 microphones/16 positions Overloud process. The library also includes a remastered version of all IRs. Vintage Jensen speakers were for clean tones, but in modern high - gain settings, the treble can be too bright. The remastered option tunes the top end to be warmer and less prominent, suitable for contemporary applications. All IRs are effectively doubled, opening new possibilities. Made for TH - U Supercabinet, it allows you to graphically browse, blend IRs, craft new cabinet tones, use IRs in software, and export them in .wav. The capturing used microphones like AKG C12, AKG C414, etc. Each microphone was moved to 4 horizontal positions, with two distances and two angles, for 16 IRs each. All measurement sets were repeated, and IRs are phase - aligned for blending without cancellations.

How to use: First, make sure you have the TH - U Supercabinet software. Open it and then import the IRs from this library. You can graphically browse through the different IRs and blend them to create your desired cabinet tones. Use the Multiband mode to craft new and unique sounds. If you want to use the IRs in other software or hardware, export them in the .wav format. Notes: When using the remastered version, listen carefully to how it changes the tone compared to the original. This can help you decide which one suits your playing style and the type of music you're making. Maintenance: Since this is a digital library, there's no physical maintenance. But it's a good idea to keep your software up - to - date and make regular backups of the library to avoid data loss.
