Product Detail

This is an official Jensen IR library featuring the 12" C12N, 50W Ceramic speaker from the Vintage series. It systematically captures a Jensen C12N AlNiCo speaker from the Vintage series, installed in three different cabinets - 1x12" Open Back, 2x12" Open Back, and 2x12" Closed Back, in both original and remastered versions, offering a total of 1728 IRs. Developed with a Jensen Speakers product specialist, it recreates an authentic playing experience. The C12N is a key speaker in Jensen's history, being the top 12" speaker of the Blackface Era used by many American manufacturers in the mid - 60s. It has clear highs, sweet and slightly scooped mids, and powerful basses, representing the tone of that decade in surf, rock n' roll, electric blues, and West Coast - inspired music. It was used in various amps like Twin, Bassman, and Bandmaster. The library also includes a remastered version of all IRs. Vintage Jensen speakers were designed for clean tones, with the overdrive back then coming from amp clipping and early fuzz pedals. Their treble response was bright and energetic, but in modern high - gain settings, it can be too bright. The remastered option tunes the top - end to be warmer and less prominent, suitable for contemporary applications. All IRs are effectively doubled with the remastered version. This library is made for TH - U Supercabinet, allowing you to graphically browse IRs, blend them, create new cabinet tones with Multiband mode, use IRs in software, and export them in .wav format for software IR loaders and major hardware modelers. The capturing session used 18 microphones, each moved to 4 horizontal positions, 2 distances, and 2 angles, resulting in 16 IRs per microphone. All measurements were repeated for each cabinet, and all IRs are phase - aligned for blending without cancellations.

Using this Overloud SuperCabinet Library is quite straightforward. First, if you're using it with TH - U Supercabinet, you can start by graphically browsing through the vast collection of IRs in the library. You can blend different IRs together to create your own unique cabinet tones using the Multiband mode. If you want to use the IRs in other software, you can easily export them in .wav format, which is compatible with most software IR loaders and major hardware modelers. When choosing between the original and remastered versions of the IRs, consider your playing style and the type of tone you're going for. If you're after a classic, bright tone like that of the vintage era, go for the original. But if you're working with high - gain modern music, the remastered version with its warmer top - end might be a better choice. As for maintenance, since it's a digital library, there's no physical maintenance required. Just make sure to keep your software and hardware up - to - date to ensure smooth operation. Also, back up your library files regularly to avoid any data loss.
