Product Detail

TAF JACK is an amazing Supercab IR Library crafted by Andy from TheAmpFactory at his Orangetreestudios HQ. It captures the sound of a Fuchs 1x12 cabinet with Eminence Private Jack speakers. This library is all about recreating the classic tones of the 60s and 70s. It has slightly lower low - mids volume, resulting in a smoother mid - range. It's perfect for organic effects like modulation and delays, as the lack of low end makes these effects cut through easily. This library is designed for the TH - U Supercabinet. With it, you can graphically browse the IRs, blend multiple IRs to create custom stereo guitar tones, compose new cabinet tones using the unique Multiband mode, and export your crafted IRs in .wav format for use with major hardware modelers and software IR loaders. The specifications include an Eminence Private Jack speaker from a Fuchs 1x12, a Neve 1073VR mic pre, pre - EQ, and active HPF/LPF. The IRs were captured using 14 different microphones. Each microphone was placed in 4 horizontal positions and 2 distances, creating 8 IRs per mic. All IRs in the library are phase - aligned, so you can blend them without phase cancellations.

Using the TAF Jack Supercab IR Library is a breeze. First, make sure you have the TH - U Supercabinet software installed. Once you open it, you can graphically browse through the IRs in the library. To create your custom guitar tones, start blending multiple IRs. You can play around with the Multiband mode to compose new cabinet tones. When you're happy with your creation, export it in .wav format to use with other hardware modelers or software IR loaders. As for maintenance, keep your software updated to ensure compatibility and the best performance. And when using the IRs with other gear, make sure your equipment settings are adjusted properly. Don't worry too much about the phase - aligned IRs; they're designed to blend smoothly without any phase cancellations.
