Product Detail

The TAF BLACKBLUE Supercab IR Library, crafted by Andy from TheAmpFactory at his Orangetreestudios HQ, captures the amazing sound of a Custom 2x12 with Warehouse B&B (Alnico) speakers. Brian May fans will love this! This 'fat' speaker has a beautiful resonance in the lower mids, perfect for slow melodies or clean big chords. The library specs include a Warehouse B&B (Alnico) speaker from a Custom 2x12, a Neve 1073 mic pre, pre - EQ, and active HPF/LPF. We used 14 top - notch microphones like AKG C414, Audix i5, and Neumann U87. Each mic was placed in 4 horizontal positions and 2 distances, giving 8 IRs per mic. All IRs are phase - aligned, so you can blend them without phase cancellations.

Using the TAF BLACKBLUE SuperCabinet Library is easy. First, load the library into your audio software. You can choose from the different IRs based on the microphone and position you like. For slow melodies or clean big chords, take advantage of the beautiful lower - mid resonance of the Warehouse B&B (Alnico) speakers. When it comes to blending IRs, since they are phase - aligned, you can freely mix them to create unique sounds. Just remember to check the sound balance as you blend. As for maintenance, keep your audio software and the library files updated. Make sure to back up the library files regularly to avoid any data loss. Don't expose your audio equipment to extreme temperatures or humidity to ensure the longevity of the system and the quality of the sound.
