Product Detail
This Supercab IR Library features a 1x12 Cab with Texas Heat speakers. Andy from TheAmpFactory says, 'Just grab a strat and off you go! The mid - range detail is amazing. It's crispy and full of details, bringing things to life instantly. It doesn't have much bottom end, but that's not its design goal.' Made specifically for the TH - U Supercabinet, this library offers great flexibility. You can graphically browse the IRs, blend them, create new cabinet tones with the unique Multiband mode, use the IRs in the software, and export them in .wav format, which is compatible with software IR loaders and major hardware modelers. The library specs include Texas Heat speakers, a 1x12 Cab origin, a Neve 1073VR mic pre, pre - EQ, and active HPF/LPF. We used 14 different microphones to capture the IRs: AKG C414, Audix i5, Beyerdynamic M160, DPA 4011, Electrovoice RE20, Neumann U47, Neumann U87, Peluso R14, Royer 121, Sennheiser MD421, ShinyBox 46MXL, Shure 545 SD, Shure SM7B, Shure SM57, and Sony C800G. Each microphone was placed in 4 horizontal positions (Cap, Cap Edge, Cone, Cone Edge) at two distances, resulting in 8 IRs per mic. All IRs in the library are phase - aligned, so you can blend them without phase cancellations.
Using this Supercab IR Library is easy. First, make sure you have the TH - U Supercabinet software installed. Then, open the software and start graphically browsing the IRs in the library to find the tone you like. You can blend different IRs together to create your own unique sound. Try out the Multiband mode to craft new cabinet tones. When you're happy with your settings, you can use the IR right in the software. If you want to use it with other software or hardware, export the IRs in .wav format. As for maintenance, keep your software up - to - date to ensure compatibility. When handling the IRs, don't delete or modify them accidentally. Also, store your exported .wav files in a safe place so you don't lose them.
