Product Detail

TAF EJ_SIG is an amazing Supercab IR Library crafted by Andy from TheAmpFactory at his Orangetreestudios HQ. It captures the sound of a Mesa Boogie 1x12 cabinet with Eric Johnson Signature speakers. Eric Johnson is renowned for creating awesome riffs and melodies, and his unique buttery tone is replicated in this signature series. The mids are incredibly smooth, and there's no harshness. You can push the sound within reasonable limits. This is the smoothest speaker voicing you'll ever hear. This library is made for the TH - U Supercabinet. With it, you can graphically browse the IRs, blend multiple IRs to create custom and huge stereo guitar tones, compose new cabinet tones using the unique Multiband mode, and export your crafted IRs in .wav format for use with major hardware modelers and software IR loaders. The speaker is an Eric Johnson Signature, originating from a Mesa Boogie 1x12. It uses a Great River MP2NV mic pre, and there's pre - EQ but no HPF/LPF. The IRs were captured using 14 different microphones. Each microphone was placed in 4 horizontal positions (Cap, Cap Edge, Cone, and Cone Edge) and at two distances, resulting in 8 IRs per microphone. All IRs in the library are phase - aligned, so you can blend them without phase cancellations.

Using this SuperCabinet Library is easy. First, make sure you have the TH - U Supercabinet installed. Once it's set up, you can start graphically browsing the IRs in the library to find the sound you like. To create custom tones, blend multiple IRs together. The Multiband mode is great for coming up with new cabinet tones. When you're happy with your creation, export it in .wav format to use with other hardware modelers or software IR loaders. As for maintenance, keep your software and hardware up - to - date to ensure the best performance. Don't try to push the sound beyond the recommended limits, as it may affect the quality. And remember, since all the IRs are phase - aligned, you can blend them freely without worrying about phase cancellations.
