Product Detail

The TAF Supercab IR Library is a masterpiece, captured from a 1968 Marshall 4x12 cabinet equipped with Celestion GH12 Pre - Rola speakers. This cabinet was handpicked by the legendary Hendrix. It features a distinct chassis and rare Alnico GH12 speakers, offering a unique look and sound. With an incredible lower - mid punch, it's a true workhorse for riffs. This library is made for the TH - U Supercabinet, allowing you to graphically browse IRs, blend multiple IRs for custom stereo guitar tones, compose new cabinet tones in Multiband mode, and export crafted IRs in .wav format for all major hardware modelers and software IR loaders. The library uses 14 different microphones, each moved to four horizontal positions and two distances, creating 8 IRs per mic. All IRs are phase - aligned, ensuring seamless blending without phase cancellations. The speaker is Celestion GH12 Pre - Rola, originating from a 1968 Marshall 4x12. It uses a GreatRiver MP2nV mic pre, has pre - EQ, and active HPF/LPF.

Using this Overloud TAF GH12 Alnico SuperCabinet Library is easy. First, load it into your TH - U Supercabinet. You can then start graphically browsing through the IRs in the library to find the tone you like. To create a custom tone, blend multiple IRs together. The Multiband mode is great for coming up with new cabinet tones. When you're happy with your crafted tone, export it in .wav format to use with other hardware modelers or software IR loaders. As for maintenance, keep your software and hardware updated to ensure compatibility. Make sure to store your library files in a safe place to avoid data loss. Also, when using different microphones, handle them with care as they are delicate. And remember, since all the IRs are phase - aligned, you don't have to worry about phase cancellations when blending, but still test different combinations to get the best sound.
